oh the spew - Roves History lesson

Damn Karl - still dippin in the Bushco trough.

K ROVE says -

If the outcome there is like what happened in Vietnam after America abandoned our allies and the region descended into chaos, violence, and danger, history’s judgment will be harsh. History will see President Bush as right, and the opponents of his policy as mistaken — as George McGovern was in his time.-.....

-The outcome in Iraq and Afghanistan will color how history views the president.

History’s concern is with final outcomes, not the missteps or advances of the moment. History will render a favorable verdict if the outcome in the Middle East is similar to what America saw after World War II.-....

It is so sad (hehehe) that the surge is not working, If we ever get out of Iraq/the middle east - it will be under a president that is not George Bush, he just does not really have the balls or the base anymore to get anything done before he leaves. That is a damn big IF Mr Rove-Bush.

From most accounts of current historians Bush will be known as TLTGP the little tin god president - that cheated to win his election, ignored Katrina, lied about WMDs, removed most of our constitutional rights and spent more time on vacation then any other president.

Congress and American people fooled again

-In the soldier's hand was a thumbnail biography, distributed before each of the congressmen's meetings in Baghdad, which let meeting participants such as that soldier know where each of the lawmakers stands on the war. "Moran on Iraq policy," read one section, going on to cite some the congressman's most incendiary statements, such as, "This has been the worst foreign policy fiasco in American history."-

This Does Bother me- our government (BUSHco and the main in the pentagon ) is using parsed and out of context quotes to define a congressman's stance to military personal.
This is outrageous, with insurgents and Al Queda to worry about 24/7
Bush thinks our troops need to know and study personal facts about a senator?
In a time of war? In a war zone?

From the WashingtonPost via BalloonJuice

-Brief, choreographed and carefully controlled, the codels (short for congressional delegations) often have showed only what the Pentagon and the Bush administration have wanted the lawmakers to see. At one point, as Moran, Tauscher and Rep. Jon Porter (R-Nev.) were heading to lunch in the fortified Green Zone, an American urgently tried to get their attention, apparently to voice concerns about the war effort, the participants said. Security whisked the man away before he could make his point.

Tauscher called it "the Green Zone fog."

"Spin City," Moran grumbled. "The Iraqis and the Americans were all singing from the same song sheet, and it was deliberately manipulated."-

Oh Dear, NBC dumped Itunes , while Viacom smartens up with a profit sharing deal with SouthPark creators.

The big fear of FCC spectrum re-distribution that media giants have avoided for 30 years is now coming to pass. This makes wireless broadcasting viable for anyone

  • Why give NBC only one channel in NYC, why not give them as many channels as they can fill.
  • SO NBC had another venue to get there content viewed, which they got paid for over and above there general distribution costs with free advertising from apple.
  • People where only a phone line can reach could still enjoy these high resolution value added content pieces , NBC makes money and gains exposure. Win Win
  • Thick headed Accounting executives seem to forget the bottom line is to bring a customer back, folks dont come back means investors are unhappy.
  • 2 dollars vs 3 dollars seems like a small amount to a movie or TV executive, to most folks i know thats 1 more dollar extra for food for the kids. Just because some can pay more does that mean all the rest be damned.

Bushs War Backhanded Progress Reports

By ignoring large swaths of the country, concentrating the -SURGE- on cities and giving weapons to the insurgents that will turn them right back on us if Al Queda Iraq is ever defeated, Bush co could and will make a pained cry for what they will call progress.

Progress that can no way be sustained for a year with current troop counts.

50 Billion more for a few more Friedman units and 100s more Troop losses.

The whining has all ready begun with the pentagon and Pussy Perino leading a media charge.

-The memo argues that the GAO will not present a "true picture" of the situation in Iraq because the standards were "designed to lock in failure," according to portions of the document read to the AP by an official who has seen it.-

A true picture like

Has the Bush Administration ever given a True Picture of any situation of national importance.

-"A bar was set so high, that it was almost not to be able to be met," White House deputy press secretary Dana Perino said. -

Bush Administration Has Been Using Illegal Wiretapping and Spying Activity for Political Purposes.

In an under covered trial in a California courtroom, a Constitutional drama of major significance is unfolding.

It is a federal lawsuit filed by Americans who claim that the Bush Administration, with the cooperation of AT&T, illegally spied on them. The Bush Administration has taken the Orwellian position that the trial must not be allowed to proceed because it would require the White House to reveal if they indeed have illegally monitored the plaintiffs – and that, the Bush Politburo argues, would violate "state secrets."

NSA - Nothing new about it.

SO the US Government have spied on people for political or social purposes, not a surprise.

The network we use for the web was developed by DARPA, i am sure the defense department would never leave a back door to their system.

"Rove's defenders argue that Republicans' current troubles -- sagging presidential approval ratings, loss of the House and Senate, a clamorous fight over who the party will nominate to run for president in 2008 -- all stem from a single cause: the deeply unpopular war in Iraq; not from Rove or his methods."

Is that the Iraq war started with lies and leaks by Cheney-Powell-Rice-Bush and Rove?

The war that allowed privatization of the military had nothing to do with roves hiring of career government fund distributors?

A war on terror that Gonzales-Bush would not need Rove to help pick loyal Bushies to run.

Gee, looks like Rove had his hands in the war pretty deep.

"Moreover, some Democrats 'hated' Bush, and they were joined by a group of Democrats who 'for tactical reasons, said that we can never give (Bush) a political victory, and anything that passes any part of his agenda is a political victory for him and we can't tolerate that.' . . .

"Did the Bush administration try hard enough to reach across the aisle?

"'You know, you'd be shocked and surprised to learn how much the president reached out to Democrats,' Rove said.

Some Non-Bush versions of the Iraq War

A CNN reporter on the scene 24--7
What the U.S. troops are doing is giving a set of numbers, a series of data, a number of lowered attack figures that may give the military the political cover it needs in Washington. But at the end of the day, by cutting these deals the seeds are being sown for a much broader, more entrenched civil war that America will leave behind.

Professor US Air FORCE Air War college

I see no exit. We have been down that road before. It is called Vietnamisation. The idea that we are going to have an Iraqi force trained to defeat an enemy we cannot defeat stretches the imagination. They will be tainted by their very associations with the foreign occupier. In fact, we had more time and money in state building in Vietnam than in Iraq.

TSP is a Bush sponsored Program - It was not there before 9-11

Congress was wrong to allow Bush to gut FISA.

FISA should have been enough for Bush, they had 3 days after a tap is performed to decide if it was related to terror and get some post warrant form to a judge. In a world of microsecond management and near instant data transmission, 3 days is a very long time.

For Rove to get away with destroying OUR emails -

There is no US government agency defined meaning for terrorist. SO this war on terror is a hollow thing.

GOP and the ManCrush - Meet Chris Matthews-Bush

He is just another of the hyphen bushs that are just plain out of there mind when they hear Bushie speak.

Crooks and Liars » Chris Matthews Three Minute Bush Love-Fest

When he talked about the fact that we can support emerging democracies in the Middle East, and that’s the only way we can prevent future 9/11’s, you’re getting to the heart of why this administration is fighting that war in Iraq.

“This president is ready to fight like a rock through the rest of his term,” Matthews proclaimed

From where I sit there have been -NoNew 911s- since 9-11???
There are also no new emerging democracies to support save the one Bush himself created and they dont seem to want his help to much anymore.

So Bush says in short, the united sates will force our democratic principles on the entire middle east and this will prevent future attacks on our soil.
And all they can do is fawn over him

I find Bush to have a poor command of English and he comes off as quite unintelligent every speech.

First God - now its The National Rug of Light

They are not delusional at all -
Via Froomkin cause i cant stand to read these sick folks

He spoke very eloquently about Good vs. Evil and even brought the story back to the rug, which was designed with only this Presidential input -- to let it reflect light so as to influence his decision making. Light as in good vs. darkness as in evil.

Hennen continues: "If every American could have the opportunity I did today -- to sit with the President of the United States and hear him firsthand describe his resolve to win in Iraq and around the world, we would have a very different situation with public opinion.

Well then why were only Republican Wingnuts invited, why not reporters that represent every Americans point of view. _ OH look the president is adding a session who will he ask-

And Hennen notes: "We learned that Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity would follow us in a separate meeting with the President. They have earned that privilege with their incredible support for our military efforts in the global war on terror."

Oh Never mind.

The President was passionate about our military successes -- he walked us through example after example of real stats and facts that are benchmarks. Many of us asked why he does not share those with the public. He explained the military's reluctance to be seen as taking out the enemy for the benefit of a statistic used to explain our success.

GOP 2008 slogan We Dont lie we just DONT RECALL

The party of forgetfulness.

So anyone within six degrees of separation from the president can claim executive privilege.

This according to White House Council Bugs Bunny - I mean Fred Fielding- .

If Karls assistant had a chat with me in a cab on the way to the air port about how secure the cash slide is in the cab... i can claim executive privilege.

What is the point of asking or believing anything a republican says.
I dont recall should be the GOPs 2008 campaign slogan -

We republicans promise to NOT remember any of our promises not recall any of the jobs we might have performed.

Emails - The Lost Files

White House Email System is funded by congress - congress should have the right to review all white house emails.DOD and NSA should have in place a special secure channel - just for the purpose of super secret inter department data transfers.

The use of a OUTSIDE email system in itself a violation of the hatch act, added to the fact the .com servers were behind the congressional firewall- ie congress - paid for and unknowingly maintained them with OUR TAX DOLLARS should also be a Hatch violation

Now i think that what Karl Did in Deleting his emails was worse then breaking Hatch- he broke the presidential records act. He deleted public records - whether it was emails about firing USA's , emails about voter oppression or just emails about his lunch - he had no right under the act to lose or worse what he did DELETE ON PURPOSE those emails.

Based on FOA any information sent outside secure channels should be available to not just a congressional committee but anyone.

  • What does who the winner of a senate race is have to do with national security or a presidents choice of council?
  • What does voting rights and caging have to do with the war on terror and national security.

The concept of some conversations being secret from even congress for a time to allow a president free and full council is not the issue.
Breaking laws and removing citizen rights. Thats the Issue.

Sorry But its one in the same TSP

I care that Gonzo lied BUT i care more that taking my son to WoodStock 2 or reading a Greenpeace web page may now put me on a possible terrorist list.
If you are to fight any war your opponent must be chosen , then he must be found.

OUR Choice of enemy -is terror

When you choose a feeling of fear to fight against how do you find it -
The current administration finds the fear by changing and morphing the fearist or terrorist to meet their daily needs.

Just one goal of Bushs NSA
-Without a doubt, we live in a net-centric world. New information technologies arrive at lightning speed, allowing us to share information across town, across the country, or around the world faster than ever before. NSA's Information Assurance Directorate is dedicated to providing information assurance solutions that will keep our information systems safe from harm. Our national security depends on it.

Since its inception, the Agency has taken responsibility for securing the nation’s communications while exploiting foreign signals intelligence.

The NSA is the main I got a secret to keep division of our government and covers ALL forms of external communications in the united states, that includes any conversation , personal, verbal or electronic . They watch and or recommend who should watch the communication stream for the last 50 years

Ok where were we, Oh ya FINDING TERRROR

SO we Look for terror - Bush looks under his desk - Here ..WMD..Here Terror - Cumon Na

Well maybe, but the official way is to define what or who to look for.

A Plan or Program with the word Surveillance that is Above the CIA and the FBI - (CIA-FBI need to co-ordinate and with Bushs little government policy that means a 3rd agency - NSA)

A plan to watch the fearists would be called what -
LOP - looking for Osama plan
No thats to Clintonian
AMIP - AlQeada Message Intercet Program
No its to wimpy for Rove and naming boy

TSP - Terrorist Surveillance Program
Well that covers a Plan/program to watch ANYONE ANYWHERE , that Bush defines as a terrorist.

all parties including justice do not deny a single program or they would would bring up the other related programs the president signed.

So the point is
If TSP is, or is not the real secret name of the program - there still was only one NSA program.
Though the president may have been taking about a different part of a terror program that does not change the fact that AG Gonzolas obstructed Justice when he and Card went over Comeys head to Ashcrofts hospital bed AND that the AG again either obstructed or lied by saying he does not recall who sent him.

KING: In that regard, The New York Times — which, as you said, is not your favorite — reports it was you who dispatched Gonzales and Andy Card to then-Attorney General John Ashcroft’s hospital in 2004 to push Ashcroft to certify the President’s intelligence-gathering program. Was it you?

CHENEY: I don’t recall — first of all, I haven’t seen the story. And I don’t recall that I gave instructions to that effect.

KING: That would be something you would recall.

CHENEY: I would think so

If Cheney said to Card - Arr Take the thing and get it signed arrrrr
then what King asked was not what Cheney Instructed. He would remember that.

He like the rest of Bush and Company can very specifically forget to remember even the most important information.
Maybe its a super power or something the DOD cooked up.
Cause for me Sending some guys to the hospital to sign papers is something i would remember if i did it or not. Should i not expect as much from my President and his Administration.

No I expect Better!!!

TSP 2 - I can not recall

McConnell helps muddy the water in his letter (Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) uncharitably calls it "gobbledygook" full of "weasel words"). There was no single surveillance program, McConnell writes, but "various intelligence activities" that had been authorized in a presidential order. And those activities weren't characterized as being in a program until the President was forced to publicly disclose a "particular activity," i.e. "the targeting for interception without a court order of international communications of al Qaeda and affiliated terrorist organizations coming into or going out of the United States."

The phrase "Terrorist Surveillance Program," McConnell says, refers only to that specific activity. (Entertainingly enough, he doesn't independently characterize the TSP as a program - just a "particular activity".) Notably, McConnell's letter is the first time that the administration has publicly admitted that "Bush's order included undisclosed activities beyond the warrant less surveillance of e-mails and phone calls that Bush confirmed in December 2005."

TSP - Terrorist Surveillance Program - is it one activity or a Bush use of a Umbrella term for the data acquisition aspects of the war on terror. I believe that Bush the Namer guy used the name he knew.
