Yellow Journal-What? -Katie Couric or Matlin McCarthy

Ventriloquist dummy Couric-Bush Spouts GOP crap and questions Plame not the government or its motives.

Crooks And Liars

But the second segment is where Couric goes off the rails and shows her flair for White House talking points. It’s almost as if she implies that Plame Wilson should have expected the White House to out her because the work she did touched on the question that sent her husband, Amb. Joseph Wilson, to Niger.

COURIC: You never for a moment thought this could potentially jeopardize my career?

ALSO

FDLs Christy
Of course, for the crazed wingnuts among us, the CIA’s totting up of her NOC credentials won’t mean a thing. For the 80 percent of the country that isn’t loony, it is yet more proof that the Bush Administration has a host of problems, one of which is a treasonous act against our national security. You choose.

oh the spew - Roves History lesson

Damn Karl - still dippin in the Bushco trough.

K ROVE says -

If the outcome there is like what happened in Vietnam after America abandoned our allies and the region descended into chaos, violence, and danger, history’s judgment will be harsh. History will see President Bush as right, and the opponents of his policy as mistaken — as George McGovern was in his time.-.....

-The outcome in Iraq and Afghanistan will color how history views the president.

History’s concern is with final outcomes, not the missteps or advances of the moment. History will render a favorable verdict if the outcome in the Middle East is similar to what America saw after World War II.-....

It is so sad (hehehe) that the surge is not working, If we ever get out of Iraq/the middle east - it will be under a president that is not George Bush, he just does not really have the balls or the base anymore to get anything done before he leaves. That is a damn big IF Mr Rove-Bush.

From most accounts of current historians Bush will be known as TLTGP the little tin god president - that cheated to win his election, ignored Katrina, lied about WMDs, removed most of our constitutional rights and spent more time on vacation then any other president.

Roves GOP Defenders

Bushs Brain

Via Froomkin

"Rove's defenders argue that Republicans' current troubles -- sagging presidential approval ratings, loss of the House and Senate, a clamorous fight over who the party will nominate to run for president in 2008 -- all stem from a single cause: the deeply unpopular war in Iraq; not from Rove or his methods."

Is that the Iraq war started with lies and leaks by Cheney-Powell-Rice-Bush and Rove?

The war that allowed privatization of the military had nothing to do with roves hiring of career government fund distributors?

A war on terror that Gonzales-Bush would not need Rove to help pick loyal Bushies to run.

Gee, looks like Rove had his hands in the war pretty deep.

More Rove from around the web
"'I think a number of Democrats never accepted (Bush) as legitimate and instead adopted a strategy of blind obstructionism,' he answered.

"Moreover, some Democrats 'hated' Bush, and they were joined by a group of Democrats who 'for tactical reasons, said that we can never give (Bush) a political victory, and anything that passes any part of his agenda is a political victory for him and we can't tolerate that.' . . .

"Did the Bush administration try hard enough to reach across the aisle?

"'You know, you'd be shocked and surprised to learn how much the president reached out to Democrats,' Rove said.
-Many times Bush reached out to Democrats on Issues that he would later ignore with a signing statement.

Many people inside and outside the White House feared Rove, a number of them truly admired him (professionally and personally), but of very few can it be said that they ever trusted him.
-No one but the Boy King Bush trusted Rove.

"'We live in a poisonous atmosphere in which Democrats . . . are engaged in a wave of investigations and requests for documents that ill-serve the country and serve as an excuse for them to investigate rather than legislate,' Rove said."
-A quest fror documents Rove himself destroyed - Opps

TSP,FISA and NSA

TSP is a Bush sponsored Program - It was not there before 9-11

Congress was wrong to allow Bush to gut FISA.

FISA should have been enough for Bush, they had 3 days after a tap is performed to decide if it was related to terror and get some post warrant form to a judge. In a world of microsecond management and near instant data transmission, 3 days is a very long time.

For Rove to get away with destroying OUR emails -
My Dime , My History, The US Governments Documents - we have to believe he understood a little about that RNC Blackberry he abused.

The I don't recall -Bush family... they can use email to send a message in an instant to cover their asses for hatch act violations but cant figure out if someone is a terrorist in 72 hours.

There is no US government agency defined meaning for terrorist. SO this war on terror is a hollow thing.

First God - now its The National Rug of Light

They are not delusional at all -
Via Froomkin cause i cant stand to read these sick folks

He spoke very eloquently about Good vs. Evil and even brought the story back to the rug, which was designed with only this Presidential input -- to let it reflect light so as to influence his decision making. Light as in good vs. darkness as in evil.

Hennen continues: "If every American could have the opportunity I did today -- to sit with the President of the United States and hear him firsthand describe his resolve to win in Iraq and around the world, we would have a very different situation with public opinion.

Well then why were only Republican Wingnuts invited, why not reporters that represent every Americans point of view. _ OH look the president is adding a session who will he ask-

And Hennen notes: "We learned that Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity would follow us in a separate meeting with the President. They have earned that privilege with their incredible support for our military efforts in the global war on terror."

Oh Never mind.

The President was passionate about our military successes -- he walked us through example after example of real stats and facts that are benchmarks. Many of us asked why he does not share those with the public. He explained the military's reluctance to be seen as taking out the enemy for the benefit of a statistic used to explain our success.
Congress benchmarks bad - Bushs Benchmarks good

The Rug Of Good and Evil
When i wan
to decide
Its in teh oval office
i do hide
and look for answers
to our plight
by consulting
the national rug of light

--------------------------------------
Bonus
Stupid Medved Statement - Journamilism at its best
As it happens, I'm proud -- not embarrassed in any way -- to try (in any small way) to help our embattled chief executive in this essential endeavor, which will help to determine the sort of security and prosperity that we pass on to our children.

GOP 2008 slogan We Dont lie we just DONT RECALL

The party of forgetfulness.

So anyone within six degrees of separation from the president can claim executive privilege.

This according to White House Council Bugs Bunny - I mean Fred Fielding- .

If Karls assistant had a chat with me in a cab on the way to the air port about how secure the cash slide is in the cab... i can claim executive privilege.

What is the point of asking or believing anything a republican says.
I dont recall should be the GOPs 2008 campaign slogan -

We republicans promise to NOT remember any of our promises not recall any of the jobs we might have performed.

----------------
Emails - The Lost Files

White House Email System is funded by congress - congress should have the right to review all white house emails.DOD and NSA should have in place a special secure channel - just for the purpose of super secret inter department data transfers.

The use of a OUTSIDE email system in itself a violation of the hatch act, added to the fact the .com servers were behind the congressional firewall- ie congress - paid for and unknowingly maintained them with OUR TAX DOLLARS should also be a Hatch violation

Now i think that what Karl Did in Deleting his emails was worse then breaking Hatch- he broke the presidential records act. He deleted public records - whether it was emails about firing USA's , emails about voter oppression or just emails about his lunch - he had no right under the act to lose or worse what he did DELETE ON PURPOSE those emails.

Based on FOA any information sent outside secure channels should be available to not just a congressional committee but anyone.

  • What does who the winner of a senate race is have to do with national security or a presidents choice of council?
  • What does voting rights and caging have to do with the war on terror and national security.

The concept of some conversations being secret from even congress for a time to allow a president free and full council is not the issue.
Breaking laws and removing citizen rights. Thats the Issue.

Republican Debates

Republicans say not a president but a King!!

Shorter Republican candidates
- Hey we want to be kings too!

Small Federal Government ,low federal taxes , more states rights , self reliance and self policing

These are what I believed to be Republican/Conservative values.
Not a boy king president or massive federal deficits for a needless war/occupation.

Setting aside what will be called - Rovegate - there still is not a single GOP candidate on the horizon that has spoken or shown these values.

The presidents first thought should always be the people not himself or his party.

Emails and lies

First i must say that there is nowhere in the rule of law or the constitution that states - these government employees serve at the pleasure of the president. Thats just another meme/phrase made up to fake out the uninformed.

Earlier this week i was reading about the number of steps a person has to consciously make to - send an email - its like 6 to 10 steps that need to be taken.

Sending an email:

1. Create a new message window.
2. Type name in the To field.
3. Skip the CC field.
4. Type subject in the Subject field.
5. Type message.
6. Send the message.

I can not for the life of me figure oput how someione that sends such a message could claim they can not recall the exact meaning of siad message or who it was sent to. That i a lie in its self.

The other big lie is - Rove stating he never uses email.. seems he uses it alot... just not the white house version of it. kr@gwb43.com could not be anyone else. That domain is owned and run by the RNC a very political orginization with no way to secure or reasone to retain email records.

This alone puts our security at risk and is directly against the federal laws pertaining to the preservation of White House communications.

the fact that over a week has gone by with out any response from the RNC about the emails on there servers shows a big gap in there knowledge of the technology the are using or that they have something to hide. AND ARE HIDING IT NOW!!!

I can get emails off of the thee servers i administer in less then one hour as can most email admins i know. There should have been no delay. These messages are outside executive privilage and -even if they contain government secrets - should have been turned over right away.
Yet were are the messages?

I am sick of the lies.
