i have had to unsubscribed from Techmeme today AND write about it..

I will admit that the actual writing of content for my blogs has been small the past 6 months, but with all the Alpha and beta testing of 2d and 3d interfaces the NDAs keep me kind of silent. I still read feeds from over 100 sources every day but that is my limit .

The past few months techmeme has become just an advertising vehicle for Arrington media and microsoft. Arrington and Om are just guys with big mouths and i am sick of uninformed opinion passed off as news.

No more techcrunch, or Techmeme feeds or links and GigaOm stories are now trash.

That is all.

analyst Shaw Wu cuts Apple rating

Based on his own over expectations. CNN-Fortune again makes its own news.

The run-up was enough for American Technology Research analyst Shaw Wu, who cut his rating on Apple's (AAPL) stock to neutral Tuesday morning after holding a bullish view on the shares for nearly three years.

"This was a very tough decision as we have been bullish on Apple for the past several years," Wu wrote in a note to clients, adding that the stock has more than tripled in that time.

The move seemed to cool some of the enthusiasm around the stock.

Wu said he believes Apple will beat Wall Street analysts' estimates of a profit of $1.07 a share on $6.97 billion in sales for the quarter. Wu actually expects Apple to earn between $1.25 and $1.30 a share on revenue between $7.1 billion and $7.2 billion.

then CNN Quotes this

We are concerned that expectations may be too high," Wu said. "We are concerned whether it [Apple's report] will be good enough and whether investors will be as forgiving with conservative guidance."

So Wu sets the earnings at 30cents more then apple said and almost 20cents over the street, he set the high expectaions himself and CNN fell for it.

Three U.S. soldiers were killed in a rocket attack in southern Iraq on Wednesday, bringing to 12 the number of Americans who have been killed in Iraq over the past three days.

Yet the story cheers this NEW HuLu service thats going to UNDERCUT Apple. How is a second rate - late to the ball park - content distribution software system going to undercut Apple. What business expert decided that for this article?

This story is just NBC - Fox Hype.
Fox and Universal are proving to be very bull headed in their iron grip over content.
Thats not the way things seem to be heading.

Why is it so easy to send countless reporters to a cold mountain?
cause they are all afraid to go to Iraq.

News to me is - New information and requires the 4 W's and H at a minimum.
Journalism 101 Who - What - Where - When , How and if line space permitted the possibility of Why, seems a lost art as mostly parroted opinion has become the norm we call news today.

The facts are that we are loosing almost 3 troops a day on average and the pentagons own report says casualties are up 32% from the first of the year. This is news and it is very important to the publics right to know. Every day - every news organization should have a - REPORT ON IRAQ AND AFGANASTAN - .

After 3 years we should have some idea what the mission was or is, from what I can tell the presidents idea of a mission is to hide until his term is over, ( If I were in the army i would not accept that as a mission EVER. ) and the american military and public be damned.

I can not stand being American anymore, it makes me sick to see how our country has become Bush country. Blind faith and blind obedience has taken the place of compassion and common sense. Free ideas and free thought have given way to no freedom and no thought.

Mr. Bush you make me sick. America when will enough be enough!
