What set SpiderMan apart? A witty, self-deprecating lead character. Check. Downey does the lovable rogue rich boy schtick like no one's businesses. He's made for the role, and it's evident that the other characters (especially Paltrow) play really well off him. The actors are having a good time, and therefore so will audiences.
